PROAC Corporation Receives 2017 Safety Award
The National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) has presented PROAC Corporation the 2017 Safety Award, recognizing our positive safety record as it relates to occupational illness and injury.
Additionally, on June 16, 2018, PROAC Corporation employees will have completed 2 years, or 730 consecutive days without time lost due to injury. This is a significant achievement for a small company such as ours.
Each of our field technicians, prior to beginning employment, is put through a four-hour session that includes training on the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard; Construction Fall Safety procedures including the proper use of full body harnesses; Lock out/Tagout procedures; Confined Space Entry procedures; Fire Safety procedures and Respiratory Protection including respirator fit testing. As the technician becomes more experienced, we provide training on operating aerial lifts and forklifts. Field Technicians are also provided OSHA 16-hour construction safety training completed by an outside contractor. Safety talks are completed prior to beginning work on any job site and we conduct group annual refresher training.
We could not have reached this goal without a commitment to safety from the workers on the front line, our field technicians.
We are proud of our safety record and look forward to extending our consecutive day without time lost to injury streak well into the future.
