Our Coil Restoration And Maintenance Process
At PROAC we utilize the AerisGuard Coil Restoration Program. Essentially, we assess your coil and HVAC system and clean it. Next, we restore what should be restored. Finally, we treat the surface to prevent microbial growth on your HVAC coils. We will continue to verify your coils are well managed and protected with regular maintenance and repair.
- HVAC Coil Restoration company that restores your HVAC system to help conserve energy.
- Reduce your energy costs up to 30%.
PROAC Corporation is a HVAC Coil Restoration company that uses the AerisGuard Coil Restoration Program. The program is a unique service that utilizes proprietary enzyme products to clean biofilm and other contaminants from cooling coils. After cleaning, treatment is applied to the coils. This treatment is designed to inhibit microbial growth on the coils for up to one year. Using Proac will help you reserve energy cost up to 30%. Getting your coils restored ever couple year will also extend the life and protect your commercial or industrial air handling systems. Get your coils restored for extended lifetime today!

The worst coil restoration project we have ever done had mold bacteria oozing out of the coil. We used probiotic cleaners that we let sit to eat away at the bacteria and mold, and then we steam cleaned it. That was a Tyvek suit and respirator job.
Why Do HVAC & AC Coils Need To Be Cleaned And Restored?
Essentially, your coil needs to be cleaned or restored for two reasons. First, they are dirty, and second to improve the efficiency of your system. When dirt, grime, biofilm, microbial or bacterial growth build up on your AC coils, you need to get them cleaned. The microbial growth on your coil can lead to damage and an inefficient system.
If you do not regularly maintain your system, it will become highly inefficient. We have seen our coil restoration process result in cleaner air and a system that is up to 30% more efficient. Your HVAC coils need to be restored and maintained in order for your office building, hospital, or school to maintain efficiency and effectiveness.
HVAC Condenser Coil Vs. Evaporator Coil
While the two coils are similar, they operate in the exact opposite way. A condenser coil releases heat into the outdoor air. In contrast, the evaporator coil picks up heat from the indoor air. These two coils work in unison, making large AC units effective for commercial buildings that have a large amount of air that needs to be continually cooled.
Reasons Your HVAC Coil Needs To Be Repaired Or Replaced
There are a lot of ways your HVAC Coil can become damaged. Whether it is a condenser coil or an evaporator coil, both are susceptible to damage that will hinder your AC system’s daily operation.
1. HVAC Coil Leak
A leak in your AC coil is typically caused by corrosion or direct damage that can be caused by hail or poor installation. An AC evaporator coil is made with a lot of copper. The copper will react with particulates in the air or with the large amount of moisture that regularly builds up on the surface of the coil.
If you do not repair a coil leak, the refrigerant which circulates in the coil will start to leak out. The coil will become more and more inefficient, and soon, your entire AC system will not be able to cool the air. An AC Coil leak will occur at your office building, hospital, or school if you do not maintain it.
2. Frozen HVAC Coil
A frozen AC coil will result in the system not producing cool air. The coil becomes coated with ice, and the air is not able to come in contact with the coil to be cooled appropriately. The HVAC coil might take up to 24 hours to thaw if you leave them to thaw out on its own. Typically, AC coils freeze because of a lack of airflow. A lack of airflow is caused by dirt and dust buildup within your HVAC system.
